Pablo Sarabia has been hungry to score in front of a packed Molineux and on Saturday afternoon he achieved that, before laying on a dramatic late winner for Mario Lemina.
On the incredible drama
“It was an amazing moment for everyone and it’s very important for us to go to the break with three points because the last game we lost. It’s important to take confidence in ourselves, in front of the supporters, and an amazing moment and incredible ambience in the stadium.”
On his brilliant equaliser
“I really wanted to score today. I think the key to the goal is the control. The control is amazing at this time and after I tried to score. I don’t know if it’s my best, but it’s a very good goal. I really wanted to score in front of the supporters.”
On Lemina’s winner
“He’s very important for us. He’s incredible, a very strong mentality, strong legs, and he’s very important for us. He’s like a captain. I tried to assist, and I tried to pass, and Mario knows me, and after he scored.”
On having the right mentality
“Sometimes it’s difficult, you can feel frustrated because you didn’t play. I think it’s important the mentality of the player, for me, 70 or 80 per cent is the mentality, and after the quality. Obviously, the quality is very important, but if your mind is working, it’s easier to play.
“The ambience in the stadium is like a family. For me, it’s very important because I played in a lot of places, I was very happy, but I feel it’s a family. It’s key to the match and to the team. Today we got it and it’s an amazing moment for us.”
On being a squad game
“I think it’s an important message for everyone in the team. A lot of players are very important for the team. Today I played ten minutes, and I gave a lot of things for the team. For myself, it’s important to take confidence, because it’s not easy to adapt here.
“I try to play very well every time, but I need to adapt to this competition and I’m going to try to improve.”
