Matheus Cunha believes Wolves need to improve so refereeing decisions which go against his team do not impact the outcome of the game.
The striker got Wolves back on level terms in the first half against Fulham on Monday night, before a second half was shrouded in VAR controversy as the Cottagers claimed all three points. Although disappointed that the Old Gold appear to be on the wrong side of decisions more often than most, Cunha said he and his teammates feel they can do more as a group if they are to get back to winning ways.
On decisions going against Wolves
“It’s hard. Everyone’s very upset. There’s been a lot of hard decisions against us and I’m not the guy who’s come here to put the responsibility on someone else, but there’s been a lot of times.
“To hear them say sorry again and again, it’s very hard for us. We respect that every [incorrect] decision against us is not intentional, everyone makes mistakes, even us, 100 per cent, but it’s hard.”
On falling to Fulham
“It’s a hard game. We didn’t deserve to lose, for sure. Not everything is bad, there were good things, but we didn’t play to the level that we can.
“I feel a little disappointed, apart from the decisions, but inside of the group we feel like we can do more.
“It’s hard because Fulham played really well also, just like every single game in the Premier League, it’s very hard, but now we leave with this feeling, and I hope we can recover and play better the next game.”
On bouncing back at Arsenal
“We are upset from the game, of course, and 100 per cent we need to do much more, but also, these points are hard for us to accept and to continue, because maybe in the next game, someone touches someone in the box and it’s a penalty against us again.
“It’s like that, but we respect [the referees], we need to recover well because in the Premier League you don’t have a lot of time to be upset. We need to come back and do the best that we can to get a good result.”

On replicating Molineux form away from home
“100 per cent. The fans help us a lot, and the Wolves fans are incredible. We feel this massive support at Molineux, but as players we need to do a little bit more.
“Everyone in the squad is a really good guy and want to do everything for the club and for the team, but for sure, we need to learn to take how we play at Molineux away from home.”
