Five nominations for Premier League awards

Wolves have five nominations in the Premier League’s round of monthly awards for November.

Matheus Cunha has been nominated for the ES Sports Player of the Month award, having scored three goals and provided a further three assists during the month.

He sealed the win over Southampton with a fine strike, before adding a further two crackers in the Old Gold’s big win at Fulham, while also assisting Jorgen Strand Larsen, Pablo Sarabia and Joao Gomes across November.

He’s one of eight players up for the award, alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Bukayo Saka and Mohamed Salah. Click here to vote for Cunha.

Cunha’s goals have also made him a Premier League record breaker. He’s become the first player to earn three nominations for the same Goal of the Month honour – three of the eight nominations for the Guinness Goal of the Month award.

The Brazilian’s strike from distance against Southampton was deadly, while his touch and clinical finish away to Fulham made it 1-1 at Craven Cottage.

Cunha also made the win over the Cottagers more comfortable with a fine curling strike from outside of the area. Vote for any of Cunha’s three goals here.

Finally, Gary O’Neil is one of three managers up for the Barclays Manager of the Month award, having led the Old Gold to two wins and a draw across November.

He’s alongside Fabian Hurzeler and Arne Slot. Click here to vote for O’Neil.

All winners will be announced on Friday 13th December.
