Wolves discover FA Cup fifth round opponents

Wolves are set to face AFC Bournemouth away from home in the fifth round of the 2024/25 Emirates FA Cup.

Vitor Pereira’s side will travel to the Vitality Stadium on the weekend of 1st/2nd March 2025, coming in between the Premier League matches against Fulham and Everton at Everton - and just one week after a top flight visit to Bournemouth.

The Old Gold have overcame Championship opposition away from home during the third and fourth rounds, with the most recent cup win coming on Sunday lunchtime against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Goals from Brazilian internationals Joao Gomes and Matheus Cunha secured Wolves’ place in the draw for the fifth round which took place on Monday evening.

Wolves were ball number 7 in the draw and were selected to go up against their fellow Premier League outfit, setting up what would be the third meeting against the Cherries this season.

Bournemouth reached this stage of the competition after beating another top flight team in Everton in the fourth round having knocked Wolves’ Black Country rivals West Bromwich Albion out earlier in the competition.

Full fixture and ticket information for the fifth round tie will be confirmed in due course.
