Marshall Munetsi was delighted to have helped Wolves to FA Cup progression on his debut in gold and black having come off the bench to see out victory over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
Despite just playing the final 25 minutes of the contest at Ewood Park, the midfielder produced a performance full of excitement to demonstrate just why Vitor Pereira wanted to bring him to the club with the Zimbabwe international coming close on three occasions to a debut goal.
But Munetsi was just happy to have helped his team into the fifth round of the competition, which sets up a tie against fellow Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth.
On making his Wolves debut
“I'm so delighted, because it has been a dream come true for me – representing a big club like Wolves, and what a way to start. The guys had already done the most difficult job, to take the lead, and I was just there to do my small part.
“It has been very easy because everybody's very kind, everybody's been willing to lend a hand and assist me in getting comfortable, so it hasn't been that difficult.
“From the coaching staff to the players, they're so kind, so it has just been about getting to know the system and getting to know how we play, but everything else has been very good.”

On coming close to scoring
“It would have been a dream come true, but we have to save more goals for the upcoming games! But I was just happy to do a small part in the win today, and hopefully we can continue from here.”
On adding something different to Wolves’ midfield
“I'm 28 now and there's a lot that I've learned from football, so I think it's the right time for me to showcase it. I was just delighted that they were cheering me on, even though I didn't manage to score.
“But they gave me that energy to try and keep on going, and obviously we have some quality players, they were able to put in some good balls, and we just have to keep on working and looking forward to the upcoming games.”
On a packed away end at Ewood Park
“In France, we do have some supporters, but here, I always hear about the amazing supporters in England, and now at Wolves, I really felt it.
“It gives you that drive, even though it was like 80 minutes, 90 minutes, you keep on going, so I was just able to appreciate the love that they gave me today.”
On progressing into the fifth round
“I think the manager said from the beginning that it's not going to be easy. They are very good team, especially with set-pieces, and he spoke about being calm and finding the right moments to attack.
“The guys managed to do that in the first half to kill off the game, and I think we managed to control it in the second half, we managed to keep the ball. We could have had a couple of more goals in the second half, but we are delighted with what we could get today.”
