Andre voted Player of the Month for March

Andre earned his second SUDU Player of the Month award in his first season as a Wolves player after the Brazilian came out on top of the latest supporter vote.

During a month where Wolves picked up four points from their two Premier League outings, but also fell out of the Emirates FA Cup on penalties, Andre once again showed just why Wolves wanted to bring the midfielder to the club last summer.

After being one of the Old Gold’s top performers in the cup away at Bournemouth, which also included netting Wolves’ second penalty of the shootout, Andre followed it up with a Man of the Match display at home to Everton as the hosts fought back to claim a point.

The Brazilian was also influential in the centre of midfield to lead Wolves to an important victory away at Southampton in mid-March to put breathing space between themselves and the bottom three.

March’s Player of the Month award is Andre’s second of the campaign after he also picked up the honour at the end of his first month at the club back in September having moved to Molineux on deadline day. He was given his award at Compton Park this week by fellow Brazilian international midfielder and club teammate Joao Gomes.

Andre was the runaway winner of the latest SUDU award, claiming 40.4% of the supporters’ vote, while it was a tighter fight for the podium places between Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (15.4%), Marshall Munetsi (14.1%), Emmanuel Agbadou (9.2%) and Jorgen Strand Larsen (7.1%).
