Nelson Semedo insists Wolves will be doing everything possible to bring home a crucial three points from their important Premier League clash with Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Despite the Old Gold having a nine point lead over the side currently occupying 17th place in the Premier League standings heading into the final eight matches of the season, a win for the hosts would lead to a nervy end to the campaign for Vitor Pereira’s men.
But Semedo is adamant that the confidence currently embedded into the group following seven points from their last three matches – including successive wins over Southampton and West Ham United – together with the effort and commitment the players will be putting into the significant meeting at Portman Road, will ensure Wolves will return to the Black Country in high spirits.
On heading into the weekend on a high
“It’s really good because we know we are in good form now. We play really good football and we showed that today, especially in the first half, in front of our fans that support us the whole game.
“We knew at the beginning of the week that this week was really important, now we have to finish the week. We made our three points and now we have to go to the next game with everything to try to win the game and make the three points there too.”

On the confidence in the squad
“The secret is inside of the dressing room, inside of Compton, here in Molineux as well – team spirit. When I say team spirit, I mean every player, every staff member, every fan. When we are here in Molineux or away as well, because they're always there.
“The togetherness we have, the support we give each other and the way we leave everything on the pitch, especially in the last few games since Vitor arrived. I think we’ve had a big change for the better, but we have to keep doing it this way.”
On three points and a clean sheet against West Ham
“It was really important. For everybody on the team it's important not to concede because it means that at least you don't lose the game, and we were winning.
“At half time, a lot of voices were saying, ‘Clean sheet – let's go for the clean sheet. We need one more goal though, but let's go for the clean sheet’, and that's what we were doing. We defended our goal with everything, with our lives, and that gave us the three points.”
On Jorgen Strand Larsen’s form
“He’s been really important. As you can see, he scored two goals in the last game and we won 2-1, he scored one goal tonight and we won 1-0, so he’s very important and he's been very important even when he doesn't score.
“I think life for a striker is always about goals, but it's not always like that for him because he's a worker and he works a lot. Even when he doesn’t score, he’s very important for us and respect to him, because he did really well today and he's doing really well, so we hope he can keep doing it this way.”
On Pereira’s messages ahead of Ipswich
“The message is already sent. We’ve got to go there and make a statement – like we did here today. We know how important this week is, we started really well and now we have a job to finish.
“I know the fans will be there, but I just wanted to say to them to be there in force, because we're going to need them as usual, and we're going to make sure that we do everything, we’re going to leave our and our hearts out on the pitch to bring the three points home.”
