James Collins’ development side are hoping to bounce back from a disappointing result against Stoke City on Monday evening, where despite producing several chances, and even seeing one of their penalty’s missed, Wolves were unable to find the back of the net.
The under-23s were missing a few of their key men due to the match clashing with the first-team’s Premier League fixture with Everton, as well as other players joining a growing list on the treatment table.
But Collins will be hoping his players will be able to create enough chances in front of the Molineux faithful to go one better than last season’s results over West Brom, which saw his side fight back from behind to claim a 4-2 win on the road, while claiming a 1-1 draw at Aggborough.
However, it will be a difficult match against one of the form teams in Premier League 2, with West Brom unbeaten in their last five Division 2 matches. But they have only drawn their last two against Nottingham Forest and Stoke.
With the game unable to be streamed live on the Wolves channels due to Premier League rules stating that PL2 matches cannot be broadcast at the same time as top-flight matches, the only way to watch the teams in action is by showing your support at Molineux.

WHAT THE BOSS THINKS
After defeat to Southampton last Monday, under-23 head coach James Collins said his players need to ‘dust themselves off’ ahead of heading to Newcastle this evening.
“They’re a strong side and are a group of players who have been together since they were very young,” Collins said.
“They’ll be a really tough opponent as I think they’re one of the stronger teams in the division this year, but we’re looking forwards to playing against our local rivals on our home ground.
“I think I’ve only managed us once at Molineux in my time here, due to Covid etc, and that was against Liverpool, a long time ago, so I’m looking forwards to watching the lads play on our pitch, in front of our supporters and, hopefully, give them an entertaining evening.”
