Having been among Bruno Lage’s first-team group this season, the stopper – who is set to join up with the England under-20 squad this week, Moulden got a taste of playing in front of the Molineux faithful as 3,000 supporters attended Friday night’s Black Country derby.
Although enjoying his evening, the 19-year-old was unable to stop West Brom from snatching a point, which only added to the inconsistent season the development side is currently experiencing.
On a score draw at Molineux
“We’re disappointed. I think the general feeling is disappointment. First-half especially, we deserved to go in with a bigger lead. We played really well in the first-half, which is why it’s so disappointing, because we got into good areas, but it was the final pass and the final bit of quality.
“In the second-half, they came out strong, but then the sending off with 20 minutes to go is difficult, and changes everything. But even after that, with ten men, we had a good opportunity to go and score. Owen [Hesketh] went on a nice run and then missed.
“It’s disappointing and two points dropped, but if you’d have said at the end of the night we’d have gone 1-1 and maybe you wouldn’t have been so surprised because they’re a good side.
“But the general feeling is of two points lost rather than one gained.”

On playing at Molineux
“It’s great. As young players to get these experiences is fantastic. Some of the lads tonight probably haven’t played in front of that number of people.
“To play here is fantastic. When you come on a first-team matchday, you just want to play. Everybody just wants to get involved.
“To get on the pitch, to play in front of a couple of thousand is amazing. We’re really grateful for the support from the fans tonight because it’s a 23s game on a Friday night, on a cold bonfire night, so for that amount of fans to turn up is great.
“We really appreciate it and we enjoyed it a lot.”
On the fine margins of football
“There are some real good players in the group and a lot of character. At times this year we’ve been in situations where we haven’t had a lot of players, a lot of injuries.
“The Wigan game was a great example, because we went to Wigan with half the team being 17-year-olds and we got a nil-nil.
“We’re not short of character and we’re not short of players who are willing to step up, but it’s just the final little bit of quality tonight didn’t come our way. A little switch off at the back from the boys and they nick a goal.
“It’s tough, but 1-1 against a good side is not the end of the world.”
