Under-23 preview | Wolves vs Swansea

Having booked their place in the Premier League Cup knockout stages, Wolves under-23s can move back to the top of the group table when they face Swansea City on Friday afternoon.

James Collins’ side are currently unbeaten in Group F, winning three of their four matches in the competition so far this season, enough to have already secured their place in the last 16 ahead of their final two group games.

Wolves have already overcome the Swans in south Wales earlier in the campaign, with goals from Owen Hesketh and Luke Cundle securing the three points. The under-23s will complete their group stage at home to Exeter City later this month, but another win this afternoon will stand the team in good stead in finishing top of the group – guaranteeing a home tie in the next round.

Collins’ men are currently tied on 10 points with West Ham United, but the Hammers – who have played one more match than Wolves – sit top of the standings due to holding a plus-five goal difference compared to Wolves’ plus-four.

Since their last encounter, the Swans have found themselves with just the one win, beating Queens Park Rangers on the road, so they will be looking to bounce back and put in a positive performance at St George's Park.

Supporters can watch all the action live as the match is streamed online via wolves.co.uk, the Wolves App and the Wolves YouTube channel.
