Christian Marques has left Wolves on a permanent basis, joining Swiss side Yverdon Sport.
The move sees the 20-year-old return to the country of his birth, after spending the last four years at Wolves, working through the academy.
Captain for both the under-18 and under-21 group, Marques progressed to first-team level and featured on the bench eight times, including in the Europa League quarter final against Sevilla, without earning his debut.
Regularly featuring in the middle of a back three, Marques spent time on loan at Portuguese side Belenenses SAD without featuring, before heading to Forest Green Rovers in League One last summer.
While in Gloucestershire, Marques made his senior debut – one of 13 appearances for Rovers, before injury cut short his time out on loan, seeing the defender return to Molineux over the winter.
Having returned to fitness with the under-21 group during the back end of the season, Marques now leaves the club permanently, joining Yverdon Sport who currently sit seventh in the Swiss Super League.
All at Wolves wish Christian the best of luck on the future.
