Dinamo Zagreb are the opponents as Wolves under-21s play their second Premier League International Cup group game at Aggborough on Tuesday evening.
After getting their campaign underway with a well-earned 1-1 draw against AS Monaco at Compton Park last month, James Collins’ side face another tough test, this time from Croatia.
Despite going a goal down to Monaco in the opening game, Saheed Olagunju’s equaliser in the second half secured a point for the Old Gold.
Meanwhile, Zagreb are also playing their second group game after starting with a disappointing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest.
The Croatian outfit are previous runners-up in the competition having made it all the way to the final in 2018/19, before losing out at the last hurdle to Bayern Munich.
Wolves come into the game on the back of Friday’s dramatic late win at home to West Ham, as Caden Voice’s goal with the final kick of the night secured all three points in Premier League 2.
Collins’ youngsters have a strong record at Aggborough this season, having won all three of their matches at the home of Kidderminster Harriers.

“They’re always really tough games and you never quite know what’s coming. Sometimes they’re a group of 21/22 year olds, almost like a B team, and sometimes you come up against an under-19 team. That does make a difference.
“It’s just an exciting challenge for us to be playing against foreign opposition. We got a really hard-earned point against Monaco in the first game.
“It will be nice to see if we can get something in this game. We’ve then got Liverpool at the weekend, Oldham and Salford who are two first-teams – they’re excellent games in a mixed, well-balanced programme that allows us to learn about our players and put in place the development that they need.”
