James Collins’ side will be aiming to take confidence from last week’s exciting 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Molineux when they travel to the south coast, hoping to pick up their first win in Division 1 since September, after going ten matches in the top-flight of development football without tasting victory.
Wolves and the Saints are both currently tied on 11 points at the bottom of the PL2 Division 1 table, although the visitors’ superior goal difference is keeping them from the bottom spot. Southampton earned one of their three wins so far this season against their opponents this evening, when Christian Norton and Aaron O’Driscoll’s goals were enough to overcome Benny Ashley-Seal’s first-half effort for Wolves.
