The draw for the second round of the League Cup saw Dan McNamara’s side placed against the FA Women’s National League Division One North leaders Liverpool Feds, with the cup clash due to take place at Jericho Lane Football Hub on Sunday 5th December.
Wolves made it into the hat for the second round having overcome Hull City in stunning fashion on Sunday afternoon, putting seven past their Northern Premier Division rivals.
Liverpool reached this stage of the competition having taken down Chorley by three goals at home on Sunday having qualified for the first round proper with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
Hosting the clash with Wolves in December, Liverpool have lost just once in all competitions this season, topping the Division One North table with 21 points from a possible 24. McNamara’s side are also in great form, remaining unbeaten from their opening 12 games of the campaign.
Due to the cup tie, Wolves' home league fixture with Brighouse Town, which was due to be played on 5th December, has been rearranged for Sunday 9th January.
