To ensure as many fans as possible can attend the play-off clash and give their backing to the women’s first-team in this crucial fixture, the club are subsidising coach travel and asking supporters to pay just a £3 donation to Wolves Foundation’s Feed Our Pack initiative to support those in need across Wolverhampton.
Travel tickets to the final at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park – kicking off at 3pm on Saturday 21st May – can be booked via Wolves at tickets.wolves.co.uk.
Wolves’ head of women’s and girls’ football, Jenna Burke-Martin, said the support from the gold and black fans at Edgeley Park is going to be crucial.
“We’ve already seen a massive increase in the number of supporters we’ve had to games this season, including season ticket holders and Wolves fans coming to both the male and female games which is incredible support and long may that continue.
“This is such a big game for the club and such a big occasion for the team, so the more fans that we can support to get to the game, the better.
“As a club, we’ve played in the highest tier of women’s football in the past, but not in its current format, and not since the WSL and Women’s Championship were formed.
“To have to play a play-off game having won the league isn’t ideal and it’s not something that happens anywhere else in women’s football, so it’s going to be really different and really difficult, but we want to cap off another fantastic season at the County Cup final and the play-off final.”
Entry to the ground cost £5 for adults, and £2.50 for over 65s and under 16s, while under 10s can get in for free. Tickets must be claimed in advance by CLICKING HERE.
Whilst there are no designated areas of the stadium for either set of supporters, Wolves fans have been encouraging their fellow old gold supporters to book tickets in The Cheadle End, to ensure as many Wolves fans are sat together as possible.
Supporters wishing to travel are urged to book both their match and travel tickets as soon as possible.
