The old gold face Women’s Super League opposition for the first time ever in the fourth round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup. For new fans, Wolves Women operate in the FA Women’s National League Premier Division – the third tier of women’s football.
Dan McNamara’s side are currently second in the table and will be coming up against an outfit two divisions higher.
The WSL is ranked as one of the best leagues in the world when it comes to women’s football and is a fully professional league, with all players full-time and internationals throughout every club.
West Ham sit mid-table in the top flight and are managed by Paul Konchesky, a former Hammers, Liverpool and England defender. Earlier this week, they reached the semi-finals of the WSL League Cup after defeating Liverpool by a goal to nil.
