Wolves Women showcased their clinical brilliance against Sporting Khalsa on Sunday in the second round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
Dan McNamara was pleased with his team’s organisation and structure in the 8-1 victory, but the manager is determined for the Old Gold to end the year on a high in December.
On the performance
“The girls were well executed with the game plan. Khalsa can be a tough ask, they battle, they represent their club well.
“We knew if we worked the ball into certain areas of the pitch that we would have success.”
On the high scoring form
“16-0 last week, it was one of those where everyone wanted to score.
“I thought we held our structure really well, they played in positions where we want them to be and you could see the success of that.
“I thought the subs who came off the bench were really good. Amelia (Hiscox) is only 16-years-old, she is doing fantastically well and she’ll be looking for her first start in the near future.
“She was outstanding, I am delighted overall.”
On returning the league action against Derby County
“We’ve got three tough fixtures now. Whoever we get (in the FA Cup) will be tough.
“Sam (Griffiths) always works on making sure they are really organised, it was a tough away day earlier this year.
“We need to make sure we are ready for them next week.”
