On the occasion of a fifth round tie against the cup holders
“It was amazing, absolutely fantastic. At 4-0 I thought it was a valiant effort, and it ends up six because of some individual errors but I have nothing but pride for the girls.
“I said before the game; I wouldn’t swap a single one of them. They’ve represented themselves, the football club, their families exceptionally well.
“You can see the gulf in class against arguably one of the best teams in Europe at the minute.
“We will do nothing but learn from it, what a journey, in 15 years time we will look back at this and talk about the time we put 5,000 in Telford and played Manchester United.”
On the record-breaking attendance
“When I walked out, I had a tear in my eye, to walk out and see this stadium full it makes you choke.
“52 people came to watch my first game seven years ago, so to have a new record at 5,000 is tremendous.
“It’s important we know what success looks like, we know we are up against it, we can’t compete with the others financially but what they bring with the vision, desire, heart and work rate is phenomenal.
“Hopefully now we can show that there is an appetite for women’s football in and around Wolverhampton.
“We want to do this every week; I want 5,000 here every time we play at home!
On the Sporting Khalsa fixture
“We have a big game on Wednesday and one on Sunday, we will stick together.
“Two games in the next seven days and we have to make sure we are ready to compete.
“Eight games, 720 minutes, so I've challenged to girls to see what we can do with those 720 minutes.”
