Wolves Women boss Dan McNamara has collected January’s Manager of the Month award for the FAWNL Premier Division.
Following two wins from two outings during last month, McNamara received the majority of the vote by both a panel of judges and the public.
The women’s first-team manager was up against Rugby Borough’s Lee Burch. Liverpool Fed’s Leanne Duffy and Hashtag United’s Jason Stephens, and McNamara came out on top following his 100% record in January.
After starting the month by progressing into the fifth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup, league victory over Black Country rivals Stourbridge at the War Memorial Ground was followed up by a 4-0 hammering of Derby County at SEAH Stadium.
The six points kept up Wolves’ push for an incredible league title challenge, which has continued into February thanks to points away at title rivals Rugby and Nottingham Forest, as well as a home win over another local side, Sporting Khalsa, before facing Stoke City in Telford this Sunday.
